    The National Program for Modern and Innovative Emerging Companies

    Government Acceleration Team was launched under the supervision of the Ministry of Economy and following up directly from the Minister of Economy and in cooperation with all federal and local agencies and institutions and programs concerned about youth projects and entrepreneurs. The Ministry has launched the national program to support modern and innovative start-ups.

    Umm Al Quwain Chamber of Commerce and Industry was a participant in the national program to support modern and innovative companies. This program, sponsored and developed by the Ministry of Economy, will contribute to the development of the UAE\’s innovation climate, although this is the first system for fostering innovation and ideas, but it has been preceded by many efforts and procedures in the field of fostering entrepreneurs and innovative projects.

    The Umm Al Quwain Chamber and the Saud Bin Rashid Al Mualla Program for youth projects support believe that this national program is important and that, through its understandings with the Ministry of Economy and related institutions, it notes the importance of introducing innovators, supporting them, introducing them, providing financial incentives through exemptions and contributing to loan arrangements. The Chamber continues to provide legal and economic advice and prepare feasibility studies for these projects related to entrepreneurs and their innovators and to prepare workshops and training courses for The company will continue to participate in all efforts that achieve the objectives of the national indicators of innovation and the consolidation of the concept and areas of innovation and embrace New ideas.     مجلس إدارة غرفة أم القيوين يبحث إجراءات إنشاء مبنى الغرفة الجديد

    برئاسة / سعادة سعيد بن ناصر التلاي ــ رئيس مجلس إدارة غرفة أم القيوين ــ وبحضور كافة أعضاء مجلس الإدارة وسعادة عبد الله خميس السويدي ــ مدير عام الغرفة ــ عقد مجلس الإدارة إجتماعه الدوري الخامس في 21/3/2018 بمقر الغرفة وقد ناقش المجلس العديد من الأمور المطروحة على جدول أعماله والمتعلقة بإختصاصاته وأعماله وقرر التوجه لتشكيل لجنة من أعضاءه لوضع المقترحات اللازمة لاستكمال التصاميم المقترحة لبناية الغرفة الجديدة وفقاً للمواصفات المتطورة وأن يكون المبنى على مستوى عالي من التصميم والتنفيذ وأن تقوم اللجنة بدعوة المكاتب الإستشارية للحصول على أفضل التصاميم. كما وقرر المجلس السير بإجراءات قيام الغرفة بإستكمال الإعداد لإقامة معرض صنع في أم القيوين وتم تشكيل لجنة من أعضاء لهذا الغرض حيث سيتم مفاتحة الشركات ذات العلاقة للوقوف على رأيها حول المشاركة وتقديم تصور لاحق للمجلس بهذا الشأن. هذا وقد تدارس المجلس جميع الفقرات المعروضة بجدول أعماله واتخذ القرارات المناسبة بشأنها.

    Headed by His Excellency Saeed Bin Nasser Al Talai, Chairman of the Board of Umm Al Quwain Chamber and in the presence of all members of the Board of Directors and HE Abdullah Khamis Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Chamber. The Board held its fifth periodic meeting on 21/3/2018 at the Chamber. And decided to proceed to form a committee of its members to develop the necessary proposals to complete the proposed designs for the new chamber building in accordance with the advanced specifications. The building should be of a high level of design and implementation. The committee should invite the consulting offices to obtain the best design. The Council also decided to proceed with the procedures of the Chamber to complete the preparation of an exhibition in Umm Al Quwain. A committee of members was formed for this purpose. The relevant companies will be approached to find their opinion on participation and to present a subsequent vision for the Council in this regard. The Council has examined all the paragraphs on its agenda and made appropriate decisions thereon.

    HE Mr. Khalfan Ahmed Mesfer, Vice Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Umm Al Quwain and HE Abdullah Khamis Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Chamber, visited the Free Trade Zone Authority in Umm Al Quwain. They were received by HE Sultan Saeed Al Ali, Executive Director of the Free Trade Zone Authority and Mr. Johnson M. George, Director-General of the Free Trade Area Authority.During the visit, they discussed the mechanisms of cooperation and joint coordination to serve to encourage and stimulate investment and provide facilities by the Chamber for existing projects in the free zone through providing various consultations and contributing to supporting and encouraging investment.

    Human Resources and Emiratization Sign MOU with Saud Bin Rashid Program for Youth Projects Support

    The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization today signed a memorandum of understanding with the Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla Program to sponsor the youth projects in Umm Al Quwain to grant projects affiliated with the program incentives and privileges related to exemption from bank guarantee for employees.

    The memorandum was signed at the headquarters of Umm Al Quwain Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the presence of His Excellency Humaid Rashid Al Shamsi, Secretary General of the Executive Council in Umm Al Quwain, and Mohammed Abdullah Al Mahdi, Director of Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization Office in Umm Al Quwain and Abdullah Khamis Al Suwaidi, the program\’s chief executive officer.

    The MoU was aimed at facilitating and encouraging the process of developing the business, motivating citizen initiatives and implementing the strategy of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization in cooperation and supporting the federal and local agencies and programs through exemption from providing bank guarantee for workers in projects affiliated with the program according to the regulations set in this regard.

    Abdullah al-Suwaidi said that the memorandum will provide support for youth projects by exempting them from providing bank guarantee and in accordance with the conditions and controls decided by the ministry

    أم القيوين في الأول من أكتوبر / وام / وقعت وزارة الموارد البشرية والتوطين اليوم مذكرة تفاهم مع برنامج سعود بن راشد المعلا لرعاية مشاريع الشباب بأم القيوين لمنح المشاريع المنتسبة للبرنامج الحوافز والامتيازات المتعلقة بالإعفاء من الضمان المصرفي للعاملين فيها.

    وقع المذكرة بمقر غرفة تجارة و صناعة أم القيوين – بحضور سعادة حميد راشد الشامسي الأمين العام للمجلس التنفيذي بأم القيوين – عن الوزارة محمد عبدالرحمن مهدي مدير مكتبها في أم القيوين .. وعبد الله خميس السويدي الرئيس التنفيذي للبرنامج.

    و أوضح محمد مهدي أن المذكرة جاءت بهدف تسهيل وتشجيع عملية تنمية وتطوير الأعمال وتحفيز مبادرات المواطنين وتنفيذا لإستراتيجية وزارة الموارد البشرية والتوطين في التعاون ودعم الجهات الاتحادية والمحلية والبرامج من خلال الإعفاء من تقديم الضمان البنكي عن العمال في المشاريع المنتسبة للبرنامج وفقا للضوابط الموضوعة بهذا الشأن.

    من جهته أكد عبد الله السويدي أن المذكرة ستوفر الدعم لمشاريع الشباب من خلال إعفائها من تقديم الضمان المصرفي ووفقا للشروط والضوابط التي قررتها الوزارة .

    On the basis of the Emiri Decree issued by His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al-Mualla, Member of Supreme Council – Ruler of Umm Al Quwain, no.5 2017 on the restructuring of the Board of Directors of Umm Al Quwain Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the current session 2017-2020. The Board held its first procedural meeting on Thursday, 7/9/2017 at the Chamber\’s headquarters.

    HE Saeed Bin Nasser Al Talay, Chairman of the Board, expressed his sincere thanks to His Highness the Ruler of Umm Al Quwain for his confidence in forming and naming the members of the Board of Directors and pledging to work with all concerned federal or local bodies to develop and sustain our national economy and work. To implement the State\’s strategy of progress, prosperity and good for all.
    The election was held during the meeting, Saeed bin Nasser Al Talay, Chairman of the Board, Sultan Humaid Abdullah, First Vice President, Khalafan Ahmad Musfer, Second Vice President, Obaid Ibrahim Humaid, Treasurer and Aisha Rashid Sultan Latim, Deputy Treasurer.

    The members of the Standing Committees, the Specialized Committees and the Regional and International Committees were also elected and appointed in accordance with the provisions of the Chamber\’s Law and Rules of Procedure.

     

    HE Saeed bin Nasser Al-Talay said that the Board of Directors will work hard and continue the previous Board of Directors march through serious contribution to economic development and investment promotion in Umm Al-Quwain. He pointed out that close cooperation between the members of the Board of Directors will enhance the role of business owners in the sustainable development process.

    Abdullah Khamis Al Suwaidi, CEO of Saud Bin Rashid Al Mualla Program, discussion during reception of Mohammed Abdul Rahman Mahdi, Director of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization in Umm Al Quwain, accompanied by Hussein Khalfan Al Shamsi, Assistant Expert, Customer happiness, and Maryam Al Zaabi, Executive Director at the Ministry\’s Office in Umm Al Quwain, presented the procedures related to granting the projects associated with the program. Of the bank guarantee for their employees, which will apply procedures and controls that will include exemption for projects up to 100 workers, provided that exemptions be granted to two projects owned by citizens or partners citizens.

     

    Al Suwaidi praised these incentives, which will be reflected on the members of the program projects, in terms of providing cash and non-payment of bank insurance payments amounting to three thousand dirhams for each worker. The meeting reviewed the benefits that will be received by members of the program, and the ministry\’s readiness to support them.

     

    Al Suwaidi stressed the importance of cooperation between the program and the ministry, and the importance of the signing of the memorandum of understanding between them, stressing that this action will provide support to projects leading citizens in the emirate. The program adviser attended the meeting on behalf of Al Zubaidi, and Salem Al Aleeli, Director of Information Center and Member of the Program Committee.

    بحث عبدالله خميس السويدي، الرئيس التنفيذي لبرنامج سعود بن راشد المعلا، خلال استقباله محمد عبدالرحمن مهدي، مدير مكتب وزارة الموارد البشرية والتوطين في أم القيوين، يرافقه حسين خلفان الشامسي، خبير مساعد إسعاد المتعاملين، ومريم الزعابي، تنفيذية إسعاد المتعاملين في مكتب الوزارة بأم القيوين، الإجراءات المتعلقة بمنح المشاريع المنتسبة للبرنامج، الحوافز والامتيازات المتعلقة بالإعفاء من الضمان المصرفي للعاملين فيها، حيث ستطبق الإجراءات والضوابط التي ستشمل الإعفاء للمشاريع ولغاية 100 عامل، على أن تمنح الإعفاءات لمشروعين يملكهما مواطن أو شركاء مواطنون.
    وأشاد السويدي بهذه الحوافز، حيث ستنعكس على المشروعات المتنسبة للبرنامج، من حيث توفير السيولة النقدية وعدم دفع مبالغ التأمينات المصرفية التي تبلغ ثلاثة آلاف درهم عن كل عامل. واستعرض اللقاء، المزايا التي سوف يحصل عليها أعضاء البرنامج، واستعداد الوزارة لدعمهم.
    وأكد السويدي، أهمية التعاون بين البرنامج والوزارة، وأهمية توقيع مذكرة التفاهم بينهما، مؤكداً أن هذا الإجراء سيوفر دعماً لمشاريع المواطنين الرائدة في الإمارة. حضر اللقاء مستشار البرنامج باسم الزبيدي، وسالم العليلي، مدير مركز المعلومات عضو لجنة البرنامج. –

    The Umm Al Quwain Businesswomen\’s Council signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Emirates Canadian University at the Chamber\’s headquarters yesterday, in the framework of enhancing partnership, exchange of experiences between the two sides, providing programs to boost performance and provide high quality services development of women

    The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by HE Aisha Rashid Laitim, Chairperson of Umm Al Quwain Businesswomen Council, and Dr. Galal Hatem, President of the Emirates Canadian University.

    The signing ceremony was attended by Issa Abdulrahman Ateeq, Sultan Humaid Abdullah, Board Member of Umm Al Quwain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Abdullah Khamis Al Suwaidi Acting Director General of the Chamber, Muza Hatem Al Shamsi, Vice President of Umm Al Quwain Businesswomen Council, and Administrative Staff.
    HE Aisha Rashid Laitim said that the signing of this Memorandum comes within the framework of the Council\’s keenness to benefit from the scientific and academic experiences of the College. As part of the Board\’s keenness to translate the wise guidance of Sheikha Sumaya Bint Saqr Al Qassimi, His Highness the Ruler of Umm Al Quwain, Honorary President of the Umm Al Quwain Business Women Council stressed the importance of coordination and cooperation with bodies, bodies and institutions that contribute to the development of women\’s economic work and supports their direct contribution to the national economy by encouraging entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship.
